Asphalt Foreman
Key Duties
Assist with training, supervising and scheduling labor and equipment resources on a daily basis to meet construction schedule. The Asphalt Foreman will observe work in progress and provide guidance and direction on work procedures and techniques for quality job completion. This person will prepare accident and injury reports, review and sign daily time sheets, monitor equipment maintenance on assigned jobs. Ability and willingness to travel and work within a large geographic area.
Education/Expertise
- High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree, trade school in asphalt/construction management or equivalent field experience preferred
- 2-5 years hands-on heavy asphalt paving and base operations desired
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, time management and supervision skills necessary
- Sufficient computer/software skills in MS Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel) preferred
- Must have a valid driver’s license to operate company vehicles and equipment
