Heavy Equipment Operators
Key Duties
To operate and maintain heavy equipment such as loader, roller, paver, and screed. The Heavy Equipment Operator is responsible for communicating effectively (verbal, listening, written). They must be self-motivated, team-players with good interpersonal skills; have the ability to maintain positive customer relations and act courteous/respectful of others.
This person will troubleshoot and problem solve situations pertaining to material quality, equipment operation/repair, etc. They will monitor and discuss production problems with co-workers and managers/supervisors.
Finally, they are responsible for ensuring OSHA, EPA, DNR, safety and environmental regulation compliance.
Education/Expertise
- Minimum high school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
- 1-2 years of related experience and/or training in construction field is helpful
